Porcel celebrated 37 years of history.
This symbolic date, that also marks the birthday of its founder, Adolfo Roque, also held a special meaning. The unveiling of a sculpture in the company’s garden, entitled “Porcelain Pantheon”, which is the first porcelain piece designed by the German artist Regina Frank and reflects months of collaborative creativity effort between the artist and Porcel’s team.
This artwork, is an expression of respect for the heritage of porcelain, symbolizing both tradition and innovation – core values that guide our brand and are increasingly oriented towards the ideals of sustainability.
The work pays tribute to the durability and value of porcelain over several generations, reinforcing the importance of keeping culture alive and the value of shared experiences. Set on a skirt made of porcelain plates, the female figure is adorned with white and gold flowers and blue lines. Inspired by the history of handicrafts and King Arthur’s round table, “Porcelain Pantheon” suggests democracy, sharing and equality, concepts intrinsic to the circle. It also recalls on moments of family celebrations where porcelain plays a central role, promoting a reflection on the importance of lasting objects in an increasingly disposable world.
