Nominados al Oscar 2017

El misterio finalmente acabó. Este martes se anunciaron a los nominados a los Oscar 2017 y “La La Land”, “Moonlight”, “Hidden Figures”, “Manchester by the Sea” y “Arrival” obtuvieorn oportunidades para llevarse la estatuilla dorada.

Los nominados para la 89 edición de los Oscar se conocieron el martes 24 de enero a partir de las 8.18 a.m. (hora del Perú)  y por primera vez el anuncio se transmitiÓ por internet. En esta nota, podrás conocer a los elegidos para la ceremonia que se emite a fines de febrero desde Los Ángeles.

“LA LA LAND” ARRASÓ CON LAS NOMINACIONES

Ocurre cada cierto tiempo: Hollywood se obsesiona con una película que tiene guiños al cine mismo, como si al hacerlo se mirara al espejo para recordar su valía. Esta vez la elegida es “La La Land”, una actualización del musical más clásico y un homenaje al corazón industrial de Hollywood. “La La Land” acaba de ser reconocida con 14 nominaciones de los premios Oscar, cuya gala será el 26 de febrero. Con esas nominaciones, la cinta iguala el récord de “All About Eve” y “Titanic”. No sorprende a nadie.

Previsiblemente, “La La Land” tentará las estatuillas doradas en los principales rubros: Mejor Película, Mejor Director (Damien Chazelle), Mejor Actor (Ryan Gosling), Mejor Actriz (Emma Stone), entre otros.

Abundan los homenajes a Hollywood en “La La Land”. Su protagonista es una aspirante a actriz que trabaja como camarera en una cafetería ubicada dentro de un gran estudio de cine, hay guiños al amor imposible de “Casablanca” (1942) y al escapismo de unos seres que buscan su lugar en el mundo en “Rebelde Sin Causa” (1955), o se invoca con respeto la magia para la danza de Gene Kelly en “Cantando bajo la lluvia” (1952). Aunque una influencia mayor del director Damien Chazelle no provenga de EE.UU., sino de Francia y de los musicales irrepetibles de Jacques Demy, el realizador de clásicos como “Los paraguas de Cherburgo” (1964) o “Las señoritas de Rochefort” (1967).

Pero hay personalidad propia en este encuentro entre esa soñadora y un pianista que anhela abrir un club dedicado al jazz y a evitar que se extinga un legado musical (Emma Stone está exultante y Ryan Gosling luce más que creíble con su bien entrenada pericia en el piano).

Damien Chazelle asimila las influencias con naturalidad y talento cinematográfico, aunque la fórmula se hace muy evidente cuando inserta unos conflictos domésticos que han sido vistos miles de veces. Pero estas posibles trabas se esfuman hacia el final de “La La Land”, gracias a un desenlace memorable.

Será casi imposible que una contendora destrone a “La La Land” como Mejor Película el próximo 26 de febrero.
